Heads up for the 1st Putrajaya X-Games Competition 2008, which takes place over the weekend Saturday-Sunday 20-21 December 2008 at Dataran Putra, Putrajaya, Malaysia. BMX, Inline Skating, and Skateboard events will be contested between local participants and invited participants from Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Brunei. More details to follow shortly.
This event is a forerunner of a future "X-Games" to be held at Putrajaya's world-class standard facility "Challenge Park" (due for completion in 2009).
The Singapore Sprint Series 2009 returns for a 3-race multi-sports series designed to suit every level of fitness and skill. Race 1 - Aquathlon takes place on Sunday 22 February 2009 at Tanjong Beach, Sentosa isalnd, in both a Sprint format (750 metre swim/5 km. run) and a new Mini format (200 metre swim/2.5 km. run). This is followed by Race 2 - Sprint Duathlon on Sunday 15 March 2009, a 3 km. run/15 km. bike/3 km. run on an undulating course along the wide Mandai Road and the beautiful environment of the Upper Seletar Reservoir Park. Finally, Race 3 - Sprint Triathlon, on Sunday 19 April 2009, features a 750 metre swim/20 km. bike/5 km. run at Changi Beach Park.
